Concept & design of a publication that collects DADA poems, futurist manifestos and lyrics of the 80’s art-pop
group THE ART OF NOISE.
The initial choice of texts was made by the Six Steps of Separation rule, starting with THE ART OF NOISE, an old
& nostalgic source of belief of mine in the absurd.
The book structure was made by updating Tristan Tzara’s method How To Make a Dadaist Poem to the digital age.
The texts are chopped up into smaller numbered fragments, appearing in the book in a sequence, which
seems random at first. The sequence is in fact derived from a code, written in Processing, which listened to THE ART OF
NOISE songs, and spat out the numbers based on the sound.
